A Place for Actors/Creatives to rest their head
Update: Current Tier 4 restrictions in London mean we're unable to host anyone coming from outside of Tier 4. We look forward to welcoming guests again when current restrictions ease.
My partner and I have a spare room in London SE5, that we're offering for actors and creatives to get their head down before an audition or meeting.
Our industry is pretty London-centric and we want to help creatives who don't live in London gain access to the same opportunities as those who do. We offer a double room free of charge for a 1 or 2 night stay if it help you access an opportunity such as an audition/workshop or screening that might help further your career.
In the room there's a double bed, a chair, a towel, dimmable lighting and wifi. And a few plays in case you get bored. Guests have said that the morning sun pours in beautifully (though there are shutters on the windows if you want to lie in). We encourage use of the kitchen and will make sure there's space in the fridge if needed.
What's the catch?
No catch. We've been benefactors of the kindness of others and want to pay it forward. Having somewhere to stay might mean you can get that £15 coach the night before instead of a £10,000 train ticket. We get it. If staying with us makes it more affordable or enjoyable, we'll give you a key and you can come and go as you please.
There are 12 steps up to the front door of the property and 2 staircases inside, of around 20 steps each. If that makes our home inaccessible to you, we sincerely apologise. We're not permitted to make changes to the building.
Drop me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org to see if the rooms free and we'll go from there. We look forward to hearing from you.
